National Trust properties in the north of Scotland are fewer than in the rest of the country, but when National Trust Scotland asked if I’d like to explore a couple of NTS properties close to home, I gladly accepted the invitation and chose to head east to Brodie Castle!
After my first taste of Highland Chocolatier truffles last month at my #loveFifefood adventure, I wasn’t expecting to have a repeat tasting quite so soon, but when Iain Burnett offered me another taste of some gourmet chocolate, how was I to refuse? (I know, it’s a tough life).
Last weekend Mr B and I belatedly celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary (it was at the beginning of September but a few different factors put our celebrations on hold temporarily) in the Cairngorms. We found a good deal in a hotel in Aviemore and took ourselves off into the sunshine.
Not being quite the iconic Route 66 roadtrip, we headed east along the A96 a few weeks back to Nairn where we had a classic, all-out American lunch at the Route 66 diner!
