At the weekend I was kindly awarded the ‘One Lovely Blog Award by Linda Huber. All blogs awarded this badge are encouraged to write seven facts about themselves and invite up to 15 other bloggers to carry on the tradition.
My seven facts are as follows:
1 – When I was five I fell over and fell onto a coffee table. Unfortunately for me, my tongue was out at the time and so my chin hit the table, causing my teeth to go THROUGH my tongue. Cue an emergency rush to A&E for my tongue to be stitched up. My memories of that day are my mum fainting, lots of blood and being very pleased at getting a can of Coke as a reward for sitting through the ordeal of stitches!
2 – Last year I did my first walking holiday (53 miles of the Great Glen Way) and I also love to swim before work (people think I’m crazy but I’m a morning person!)
3 – I’m a keen foodie/lifestyle blogger, and this year am making a concerted effort to blog more about the recipes I try out. I’ve also got my 2015 Cooking the Books challenge which will keep me busy!
4 – I grew up in Essex, went to university in London (then stayed there for another 5 years) got married to a Scotsman and then was promptly whisked off up there! After starting out in Fife, we’ve now been living in Inverness for almost two years. Even though I am a self confessed city girl, there’s just something about the scottish highland setting that I love!
5 – My work history has been predominantly in the charity and education sectors. My favourite job by far though was when I was working at Girlguiding (Yes, you possibly could call me a professional Girl guide!) doing administration and coordinating projects. Oh yeah, and testing recipes/crafts. That was fun and a lot of good friendships were made there.
6 – I can’t stand it when someone pours me a cup of tea with the milk poured in first. I love a good strong cuppa!
And finally – 7: My dream job would probably be owning a B&B and a bakery on the side. I love having people to stay, cooking them good food with delicious desserts, and telling everyone my top Highland tips!
