Saturday is Mr B’s one day off a week so we try and make the most of it by having lots of time to relax. Yesterday was no such exception and we stayed local in Kinghorn all day especially as the next couple of weeks are going to be busy.
After a lunch visit from one of Mr B’s uni friends, his wife and his son (who is the most smiley, cute and contented baby I have ever seen!) we took the quick 10 minute walk into the village. Saturday is the one day we allow ourselves to get a treat from the bakers, so we treated ourselves to some cupcakes which were yummy.
We then walked down to the local church hall where there was a fundraising book sale on for the youth group who are going to Malawi next year. Mr B and I were loving rummaging through the hundreds of books on offer and I got a good few that I will need to work my way through!
A bit later on we then ventured down on into Buntisland for the Fireworks Display- both Mr B and I thought it was excellent and I managed to get a few shots of the pyrotechnics too (and you can also see which books I bought!).
Mr B and I both agreed that spending the day in our new ‘home town’ was really good especially as we were able to enjoy lots of fun things together – bring on next Saturday!
