A month has gone past since Christmas (SO quickly!) and we’ve spent quite a bit of our time thinking about the future and where we might be living next year (no answers yet!) and thinking about where to have a holiday this year (again no answers- recommendations welcome!) as well as getting back into the swing of working during many cold dark days, but we’ve also had a lot of exciting and fun times, particularly in the last few weeks. We had a friend up to stay and we visited Loch Leven in Perthshire. This weekend we ventured south as far as Nottingham for the dedication of our god-son Abraham and it was great to see him (and how much he has grown since we last saw him at our wedding in September) and his parents, as well as some other good friends. It was so relaxing and just what we needed after a busy January.
We had an epic drive down to Nottingham – it was basically lashing wind and rain for most of the journey so most of the time we couldn’t see much in front of our faces, but the way back up to Fife today was amazing. Blue skies and snow capped hills – great. Some of my favourite photos from January are below.
So February – what does that hold? Well looking at the diary… not tons and tons , but a few good things to look forward to including quite a last minute trip to London in 2 weeks time for a course on writing funding applications, so I’m glad that there’s another opportunity to catch up with people before my next trip down in March. I’ve also been finding out about some great blogs (courtesy of my friend Claire’s blog) which I will definitely be doing some looking at next month. And perhaps I’ll start using my mega-functional walking boots on the Fife Coastal Path….
