I’ve been meaning to do a post about this wee find for a few weeks! We love finding new things in Inverness, and this find is almost on our doorstep!
The Wee Croft Shop is a weekly (Sundays 1pm-5pm) shop up on the westside of Inverness. The croft, run by Elizabeth and her husband Jim, commands incredible views over the city and the Moray Firth.
Elizabeth provides produce and baking for a few cafes and shops within Inverness, but we like heading up the hill each Sunday to see what freshly baked goodies we can get our hands on (and we’ve taken to pre-ordering a loaf of bread as it sells out very quickly!) each week.
Today we bought:
Smoked Cheese and Chive bread, which was yummy with a bowlful of my slowcooked spicy lentil and tomato soup
A slice of Tomato and Feta Quiche
A slice of Pesto and Mascarpone Stromboli (our favourite savoury goodie – we love this!!)
A Strawberry and Rosewater Scone
A Cherry and Coconut slice
Elizabeth uses the best, flavourful ingredients, and also sells eggs, honey and produce grown on the croft. If you are on Facebook you can find out more about what Elizabeth is baking by looking up ‘The Wee Croft Shop’ or following @bakebrown on Twitter.
