Last week we were in Crieff for a few days for Mr B to attend a conference at the Hydro. (We were staying at this rather lovely and homely AirBnB cottage which meant we could take the pooch) and Mr B’s mum and I enjoyed a couple of days getting out and about. A load of snow dropped overnight during the week – so we gingerly braved the frozen pavements of Crieff and headed down towards the River Earn for views of the hills.
Passing beautiful cottages with brilliant scottish names…
…we found great views out to the hills of the west from a cemetery (even graves look lovely when topped with a frosting of snow).
… then we found stunning and friendly horses/ponies!
Followed by more views of hills and snowy-diamond encrusted bushes!
EXTRA INFO ON CRIEFF>>Crieff has a small but bustling town centre, with a couple of delis, butcher and baker, a brilliant traditional Scottish sweetie shop, as well as some charity shops which I raided for cheap books! You can easily spend a couple of hours browsing. If you stay in Crieff with a dog then we can recommend The Tower located at the top end of Crieff High Street for some good pub grub – you can eat with your dog in the bar only.
