Last week we had a glut of tomatoes that we weren’t going to make our way through completely, so I looked online for ways to use them up.
Enter this very easy tomato chutney recipe. I guess a chutney is something you are more than likely to make in the autumn than spring, but this chutney will go down very well at any time of the year in the Barrie house.
Amendments I made were to:
- leave out the chilli
- replace the paprika with smoked paprika – a good decision as the smokiness really complements the slow cooked tomatoes and red onions
